• 4. Manufacturer: Food manufacturers must obtain an FSSAI License based on their production capacity:
• Basic FSSAI Registration - Production below 100 kg/liters per day.
• State FSSAI Registration - Production between 101 kg/liters to metric tons per day.
• Central FSSAI Registration - Production more than 2 metric tons per day.

Process of FSSAI Registration

1. Step 1: Go to the FSSAI official portal via clicking this link - https://foscos.fssai.gov.in/
2. Step 2: Click on the apply tab and choose the appropriate state where your business operates.
3. Step 3: If you are a trader/dealer, manufacturer, or engaged in other food-related services, select the suitable option.
4. Step 4: Select the production capacity limit or turnover according to your business applicability and click on the apply button to proceed with the registration process.
5. Step 5: Fill out the necessary details required for registration and click on the save and next button.
6. Step 6: Pay the applicable fees.
7. Once these steps are completed, the process will go under verification by the authority. If no discrepancies are found in the uploaded documents, the FSSAI authority will issue the certificate.

Fees for FSSAI Registration

The Fees for FSSAI Registration depends on the registration type. Here is the basic fees structure for FSSAI Registration:

FSSAI Basic Registration - ₹200

FSSAI State Registration - ₹2,000 to ₹5,000 (depends on the business type) and additional GST charges apply.

FSSAI Central Registration - ₹7,500 + GST.
