• 3. If any businesses engaged in Dairy including milk chilling with the range from 500 - 5000 liters also need State Food License to operate their business.
• 4. 4-star rating or less than 4-star hotels must obtain a Food license under the FSSAI guidelines.
• 5. Slaughterhouses that can slaughter more than two and up to fifty large animals. Or the handling capacity of more than 10 & up to 150 small animals. Or per day capacity of more than 50 to 1000 poultry birds.

Process of State FSSAI Registration

The stepwise process of State FSSAI Registration is as follow:

Step 1: Visit the FSSAI official portal by clicking this link - https://foscos.fssai.gov.in/
Step 2: Click on the apply tab and choose your appropriate state where your business operates.
Step 3: If you are a trader/dealer or Manufacturer or engaged in other food related services, select the suitable option.
Step 4: Select the production capacity limit or turnover next according to the business applicability and then click on the apply button for further registration process.
Step 5: Fill out the necessary details required for the registration and select the save and next button.
Step 6: Pay the applicable fees.

Once these steps are completed, the process will go under the verification by the authority where they check the uploaded documents and if they do not find any discrepancies or errors, the State FSSAI authority will issue the certificate.

Fees for State FSSAI Registration

To obtain a State FSSAI License, the applicant needs to pay a certain amount that is from ₹500 to ₹5,000. This cost may vary on business type and their business annual turnover for example :-

• If any person engages in Restaurant, they need to pay ₹500 whose annual turnover is upto 10 lakh, ₹1,000 whose annual turnover is between 10 lakh to 50 lakh and ₹2,000 whose annual turnover is above 50 lakh.
